Gloworm Farm is a bit of a gem.
A nine acre pocket of rural solitude close to London and the South, it is surrounded on three sides by river frontage, (the Burstow Stream and the river Mole), and has many photogenic features; a stable block and outbuildings, a pond, an orchard with kitchen garden, a river bend with jetty and boat, two WW2 pillboxes, a mature garden with trees, flowerbeds and pergolas, four large fields, one of which can provide plenty of parking, and even a small hut which can be made to look like a dwelling in the woods.

Beautiful Grounds
The main house stands in the middle of its own garden, facing south, with a large conservatory overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. It has full wi fi access, 5 bedrooms, all with extensive views, 2 bathrooms, a toilet and a shower room, and 3 reception rooms. There is plenty of space for indoor shoots, a downstairs room that could serve as a production office and a space for actors, wardrobe, hair and makeup.

Unspoilt Outlook
There are far reaching views, especially in the back field, and the whole site is surrounded by mature trees which provide some shade in places but don’t overshadow it. The property owners have worked in film and television, and the farm has hosted several small film shoots, play rehearsals for open air theatre, numerous parties and a major wedding with a large teepee and over 100 guests. Trailers, lorries, toilet blocks, a catering tent, a generator and guest parking were all accommodated with ease.

Gloworm Farm is accessed along a well-made up farm track from a small country lane within close reach of Horley and Reigate.
The fields are grazed in the summer with cattle and sometimes sheep, and haymaking takes place occasionally. Farm animals, hay bales, agricultural vehicles and machinery, vintage cars, traction engines and gypsy caravans can be hired from local contacts. There is also the possibility of use of a treehouse in a neighbour’s garden on subcontract.
The major USPs of this location are the extensive river frontage, the rural setting and the proximity to London, something of a rarity in this part of the world.
